Hello, and welcome to Saturday Morning Panels, your new favorite Multiversity column! It’s a very simple concept: since none of us are up to watching Saturday morning cartoons anymore, we are instead going to share with you our favorite panels from the week before. It’s a bit like Comics Should Be Cheap, except with more pictures and less reading.
And, of course, spoilers are probably abundant.
We encourage you to play along at home and let us know what your favorite moments of the week were in the comment section! In the meantime, our picks:

Matt’s Pick: “Prophet” #39
STOKOE!

David’s Pick: “Mighty Avengers” #1
This letter from Al Ewing about his sentiments on Monica Rambeau and Luke Cage, by itself, did a far better job of convincing me that I should read his Avengers work forevermore than anything the actual issue did. This letter read like it was written by someone with a clear passion for what he was doing and these characters he was writing, and in that moment, it made no amount of Greg Land art enough to keep me away from issue #2.

James’ Pick: “Manhattan Projects” #14
Manhattan Projects is still one of the funniest books on the shelf, and I would be down for an entire volume with limbless Braun.

Zach’s Pick: “Justice League” #23.2 – Lobo
The new Main Man, the Scourge o’ the Cosmos, the Ultimate Bastich. With an attitude like this, it’s not likely he’ll be falling in with the Church of the Triple-Fish God anytime soon.

Vince’s Pick: “Batman” #23.2 – The Riddler
See, DC Comics – you don’t have to “update” everyone’s costume, no matter how goofy they may be. The Riddler’s garish costume is just as loud as it ever was and I, for one, was glad to see it. The classic Riddler look coupled with an abundance of real riddles and a slick take on his personality made “The Riddler” one of the few true “winners” of Villains Month.
