Hello, and welcome to Saturday Morning Panels, your new favorite Multiversity column! It’s a very simple concept: since none of us are up to watching Saturday morning cartoons anymore, we are instead going to share with you our favorite panels from the week before. It’s a bit like Comics Should Be Cheap, except with more pictures and less reading.
And, of course, spoilers are probably abundant.
We encourage you to play along at home and let us know what your favorite moments of the week were in the comment section! In the meantime, our picks:
Matthew’s Pick: “X-Men: Battle of the Atom” #2 by Jason Aaron and
Ooohhhh, I see what you did there.
James’ Pick: Also “X-Men: Battle of the Atom #1” by Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic
There is no greater surprise than finding out that Esad Ribic is drawing (part) of the climax to an X-Men event. Props to him for making the Sentinels’ long overdue entrance a great one.
David’s Pick: “Five Ghosts” #6
YEAHHHHH BOYEEEE! I AM IN A COMIC!!!! Of course, it doesn’t look like me. At all. But hey, it isn’t supposed to, and DAVID HARPER IS IN THE HOUSSEEEEE!!!!
/vanity.
Michelle’s Pick: Also “Five Ghosts” #6
If there’s an appropriate reaction to this other than “AHHH! SHIT!”, it’ll take a greater mind than mine to put it into words.
Vince’s Pick: “The Sandman Overture” #1
“J.H. Williams. Sandman. Sandman. J.H. Williams. Now that you’ve met, let me tell you you’re perfect for one another.”
