Hello, and welcome to Saturday Morning Panels, your new favorite Multiversity column! It’s a very simple concept: since none of us are up to watching Saturday morning cartoons anymore, we are instead going to share with you our favorite panels from the week before. It’s a bit like Comics Should Be Cheap, except with more pictures and less reading.
And, of course, spoilers are probably abundant.
We encourage you to play along at home and let us know what your favorite moments of the week were in the comment section! In the meantime, our picks:

Matthew’s Pick: “Godland” Finale
This whole issue was such a groovy ride, but these two panels near the end kind of hit the nail on the head in terms of why this book was so awesome and ultimately means so much to readers like me. GODLAND FOREVER.

James’ Pick: “Inhumanity: Awakening” #1
I’m not sure if Fiona’s really going to stick around as a character but new fan-favorite super_troll10k is going places.

David Harper’s Pick: “Wolverine and the X-Men” #39
This. This is why Wolverine and the X-Men is so special. While so many of today’s comics are trapped in a world of death and despair, Wolverine and the X-Men lets the characters have fun. This issue with its two spies and the dichotomy between the two of them is almost commentary on the industry in general, as one scolds the other for liking having fun more than completing their dark, dreary mission. You know what? I’m with you Tri-Joey. Fun is awesome. Wolverine and the X-Men is awesome. Long live it.

David Henderson’s Pick: “Uncanny X-Men” #15
I could easily have posted the entire page, but I feel like I’m already bending the rules enough as it is. What I loved most about this was it showed that Bendis and Anka weren’t afraid to just have fun with the characters for once. Not everything has to be dire and gloomy and facing extinction. Write a joke every once in a while, people!”

Michelle’s Pick: “Drumhellar” #2
Why yes, that is a giant sphincter in the middle of a splash page — chilling with some eyeballs and a stack of hair, it looks like. “Drumhellar” is really weird, and Riley Rossmo is great at making weird beautiful.
*twerks into the sunset*

Vince’s Pick: “Shaolin Cowboy” #3
This is like a nightmare version of one of those Jeffy strips from Family Circus.
