Saturday Morning Panels (Week of 1/28/15)

Hello, and welcome to Saturday Morning Panels! It’s a very simple concept: since none of us are up to watching Saturday morning cartoons anymore, we are instead going to share with you our favorite panels from the week before. It’s a bit like Comics Should Be Cheap, except with more pictures and less reading.

And, of course, spoilers are probably abundant.

As a note, this week features some content that is not safe for work. Please keep that in mind when reading, and don’t get in trouble with your boss if you read this column Monday mornings.

We encourage you to play along at home and let us know what your favorite moments of the week were in the comment section! In the meantime, our picks:

“Batman” #38: We can’t wait to see where they lead, Batman. – Keith Dooley

“Batman” #38: Some pure, classic Batman imagery right there. Few other superheroes lend themselves so well to a silhouette. – Matthew Garcia

“Gotham Academy” #4 : All right, I hope this isn’t the last we see of this painting. – Matthew Garcia

“Gotham Academy” #4: My reaction, exactly! – Keith Dooley

“Arkham Manor” #4: Shawn Crystal has done stunning work on this book. Just look at that shadow of a disguised Bruce Wayne and that angel statue standing watch over Mister Freeze. Great stuff, indeed. – Keith Dooley

“Gotham by Midnight” #3: Ya think, Mr. Corrigan? – Keith Dooley

“Catwoman” #38: Your petty guns and puny weapons are no match for anything in Selina Kyle’s arsenal. – Matthew Garcia

“The Multiversity Guidebook” #1: “Past time and beginnings.” The past and the future. That’s what “The Multiversity” is all about. – Keith Dooley

“The Multiversity Guidebook” #1: What foul creature would attack the Harbinger Mind and the House of Heroes?! – Keith Dooley

“The Multiversity Guidebook” #1: Every Earth in the Guidebook appeals to me, but this one has sentimental value to me. Who wouldn’t want to a book starring the Blood League and illustrated by the great Kelley Jones? – Keith Dooley

“MIND MGMT” #30: The multiverse of MIND MGMT. I don’t think I can sing Kindt’s praises any higher. – Matthew Garcia

“Bitch Planet #2”: A much respected shout out for someone taken too soon. – Jess Camacho

“Princess Ugg” #7: Nothing snarky; nothing snide here. This panel is magical. – Matthew Garcia

“Adventure Time” #36: Something this beautiful isn’t meant long for this world. – Matthew Garcia

“The Dying and the Dead” #1: Well, that’s one way to look at it. – Jess Camacho

“Colder: The Bad Seed #4”: No one is doing horror better than Juan Ferreyra right now. – Jess Camacho

“Sex Criminals #10”: Yaaaaaay!!! No? – Jess Camacho
