Hello and welcome back to Saturday Morning Panels! You know the drill. Each week the Multiversity staff lovingly scours the new releases to find you, our dear reader, our favorite panels and moments. And we have a fantastic line up for you this week!
So kick-back, watch out for spoilers, talk about your favorites in comments section below, and enjoy!
“Injustice 2” #51: I’m seriously considering setting this as an auto-reply to all meeting requests at my day job. – Justin Beeson
Dark Nights: Metal #6: “Beneath every history, another history,” – Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel. Beneath every story, a new story, helping us crawl out of the dark. This event ended as bombastic and crazy as possible, and I am super-delighted. – Kevin Gregory
“Scooby-Doo! Team-Up” #36: If you thought “Dark Knights: Metal” had some DC deep cuts, you clearly haven’t been reading “Scooby-Doo! Team-Up.” This one issue had the Inferior Five, Angel and the Ape, Stanley and His Monster, The Maniaks, AND Sugar and Spike. Swoon. – Nick Palmieri
“Star Wars: Doctor Aphra” #18: The excitement on Aphra’s face after discovering rejected living weapons is just perfect. – Justin Beeson
The Terrifics #2: Hey you said it Rex. – Kevin Gregory
“Dark Nights Metal #6”: This series, as a whole, is going to be one that I have to reread at a later date to get the full impact of it, but this was a nice moment, emphasizing people of madness. Also, the identity of those two in the last two panels are going to wrack my brain.- Ken Godberson III
“Rugrats” #6: This arc would be a lot cuter if the concept of family members confusing babies into believing conspiracy theories wasn’t so terrifyingly topical. – Nick Palmieri
Detective Comics #977: Aww they do love each other. – Kevin Gregory
“Dark Nights: Metal” #6: That. Is. Twisted. – Justin Beeson
Dark Nights: Metal #6: God I can hear that electric guitar in the background from the Justice League: Unlimited theme song. BUM BUM BUMMMMMM BA DA DA DA DAAAAAAAAAA. Snyder is about to turn the DCU into everything I’ve ever wanted from Justice League. Diana, Clark, Bruce leading the way for a connected League. I’m crying happy tears. – Kevin Gregory
