Hello, and welcome to Saturday Morning Panels, your new favorite Multiversity column! It’s a very simple concept: since none of us are up to watching Saturday morning cartoons anymore, we are instead going to share with you our favorite panels from the week before. It’s a bit like Comics Should Be Cheap, except with more pictures and less reading.

And, of course, spoilers are probably abundant.

We encourage you to play along at home and let us know what your favorite moments of the week were in the comment section! In the meantime, our picks:

“Adventure Time” #26 – Finally, the answer to the age-old rhetorical question of “Do BMOs dream of electric teeth?” – Matthew Meylikhov

“American Vampire: Second Cycle” #1 – American Vampire has been gone for a while, and with this moment in the intro, the book reminded us what we’d been missing very, very quickly. Welcome back Skinner and Pearl. Hope ya survive the experience. – David Harper

“Animal Man” #29 – Goodnight, moon. Goodnight, Animal Man. – Matthew Meylikhov

“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” Season 10 #1 – Leave it to Andrew to bust in on the scene with the pop culture references, and leave it to everyone else to shut him down because he’s so annoying. – Matthew Meylikhov

“Daredevil” #1 – There are a bunch of pages I would loved to have included from this issue, but this little nostalgic look back at ol’ Hornhead’s home town really stole the issue for me. – David Henderson

“Ghost Cop” #3 – Tom Fraley is a hardboiled cop, but he’s also kind of a cowboy, and Christian DiBari draws the hell out of him. The series wrapped this week, but if you never checked out “Ghost Cop”, it’s worth seeking out for this grumpy bastard. – Michelle White

“Ms. Marvel” #1 – Easily the most cromulent panel of the week. – Vince Ostrowski

“Ms. Marvel” #1 – Ms. Marvel’s easily one of my favorite new books coming from Marvel, but its yaoi hand situation is ridiculous. – James Johnston

“Sex Criminals” #5 – Sometimes it’s the little things that make us laugh. – David Harper

“Thor, God of Thunder” #20 – Guys, I think Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic might just be the best creative team Thor’s ever had. – David Henderson

“Wonder Woman” #29 – It was tough to pick one panel from this week’s “Wonder Woman,” because the whole issue was pretty incredible. Honestly. But, if we have to boil it down to on example, I think this moment with a line said so un-ironically that it becomes all the better for it has to take the cake. – Matthew Meylikhov

“Zero” #6 – The greatest Blade Runner homage I’ve seen since Blade Runner itself. – Matthew Meylikhov

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
