Hello, and welcome to Saturday Morning Panels, your new favorite Multiversity column! It’s a very simple concept: since none of us are up to watching Saturday morning cartoons anymore, we are instead going to share with you our favorite panels from the week before. It’s a bit like Comics Should Be Cheap, except with more pictures and less reading.
And, of course, spoilers are probably abundant.
We encourage you to play along at home and let us know what your favorite moments of the week were in the comment section! In the meantime, our picks:

“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” Season 10 #2 – Pfffft. Nerrrrrrds. – Matthew Meylikhov

“Elektra” #1 – I know this isn’t the way things work, but I would wait a thousand summers for each issue if it meant getting consistent Mike Del Mundo on each issue of this glorious book. – Vince Ostrowski

“The Eltingville Club” #1 – This panel made me feel very uncomfortable and sad in exactly the way it was meant to. – Vince Ostrowski

“Fantastic Four” #3 – I am an apologist for Fraction’s “F4/FF” run, for sure, but man, James Robinson has pretty much reset everything to exactly how it was post-Hickman, and it works marvelously. Matthew Meylikhov

“Guardians of the Galaxy” #14 – The story of how Groot was expelled from his homeworld was both adorable and tragic. It was nice to have Lanning back in the head “Guardians” chair again. – Matthew Meylikhov

“Iron Patriot” #2 – You know, for a book that should be about a dude in a crazy high tech weaponised suit of armour… Kot and Brown really nailed the human element of the book by taken the suit away pretty much immediately and putting Rhodey at the bottom of the sea. And then they bring it all around with this gorgeousness. – David Henderson

“Lazarus” #8 – This is a page with six panels, but whatever. This whole scene was amazing, and made me super invested in Michael as a character. Hammer don’t hurt ’em! – David Harper

“Lazarus” #8 – GOD DAMMIT PAPA CARLYLE. BE NICE TO THE POOR GIRL! SHE LOVES YOU AND JUST WANTS A HUG SO AND YOU GIVE HER THE DAMN ONCE AND FUTURE KING! – David Harper

“The Manhattan Projects” #20 – Pitarra panic eyes are the best eyes. – David Harper

“The Manhattan Projects” #20 – And thus, Albert Einstein’s transformation into Nick Cave is complete. – David Harper

“Original Sin” #0 – Original Sin #0 went through a lot of changes and I think the line “He’s alive” replacing “ALRIGHT! ENJOY YOUR ROCK, NERD!” really took away from the story. – James Johnston
