Hello, and welcome to Saturday Morning Panels, your new favorite Multiversity column! It’s a very simple concept: since none of us are up to watching Saturday morning cartoons anymore, we are instead going to share with you our favorite panels from the week before. It’s a bit like Comics Should Be Cheap, except with more pictures and less reading.
And, of course, spoilers are probably abundant.
We encourage you to play along at home and let us know what your favorite moments of the week were in the comment section! In the meantime, our picks:

“Amazing Spider-Man” #2 – Look at Jessica eyeing down the cookies. You can’t tell me that alarm song from “Kill Bill” isn’t playing in her head. – James Johnston

“BPRD Hell on Earth” #119 – This latest arc of the “BPRD” series has been the best one yet, and every issue is beyond exciting. Arcudi and Harren know how to make some truly gut-punching, epic and cinematic moments. – Matthew Meylikhov

“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” Season 10 #3 – It is so good to have a “Buffy” comic book that feels like Buffy again. – Matthew Meylikhov

“Elektra” #2 – That Mike Del Mundo wasn’t doing interiors on an ongoing comic sooner seems to me like a legitimate crime against us all. Wow wow wow wow wow. – Matthew Meylikhov

“Ghosted” #10 – I was a bit lukewarm on the first series of “Ghosted,” but man, the second volume was nothing but net. – Matthew Meylikhov

“Invincible” #111 – The quality of this series fluctuates wildly, a bit too much for my taste, but I have to give it to Kirkman: when he gets rough, he gets rough. And Ryan Ottley is amazing at the plotting and sequencing of this series, without a doubt. – Matthew Meylikhov

“Nova” #17 – Aw, Sam. You’re going to be so disappointed an issue from now. – Matthew Meylikhov

“Original Sin” #2 – Annnnnd this is what madness looks like. – David Harper

“Prophet” #44 – If ever there was a more fitting and moving Moebius tribute in comic form, I’m not sure where it is. This was an absolutely beautiful issue by Dave Taylor, and another win for the “Prophet” series. – Matthew Meylikhov

“Saga” #19 – This is what complete and utter joy looks like in comic form. – David Harper

“Thor, God of Thunder” #22 – – Matthew Meylikhov
I keep saying it and I keep saying it and I keep saying it, but look: “Thor, God of Thunder” by Aaron and Ribic is AMAZING.

“The Unwritten: Apocalpyse” #5 – Oh, Mr. Bun… – Matthew Meylikhov

“Uncanny X-Men” #21 – If ever there was a well placed usage of a Kirby panel in a Bendis comic, I suspect it would be this one. I’ve not read any of the “Magneto” ongoing series, but I do quite like Bendis return with the character. – Matthew Meylikhov

“Velvet” #5 – It was a bit of a break since we last got an issue of “Velvet,” but man, did it come back in full force. I’m expecting a long and exciting run out of this series, because this issue was the best yet. – Matthew Meylikhov

“Wolverine and the X-Men” #4 – Just “Beclaws” I Love You? Jesus, Quentin, not even I would give a girl with a card like that. – Matthew Meylikhov

“Wonder Woman” #31 – Wonder Woman is the hero we deserve, and most definitely the hero that we need right now. – Matthew Meylikhov
