Hello, and welcome back to Saturday Morning Panels! It’s a very simple concept: since none of us are up to watching Saturday morning cartoons anymore, we are instead going to share with you our favorite panels from the week before. It’s a bit like Comics Should Be Cheap, except with more pictures and less reading.
And, of course, spoilers are probably abundant.
We encourage you to play along at home and let us know what your favorite moments of the week were in the comments! In the meantime, our picks:
“The Flintstones” #11: Bedrock has a hipster problem too. – Justin Beeson
“The Flintstones” #11: HAHAHA! This is genuinely hilarious. – Ramon Piña
“The Damned” #1: I may not exactly have my finger on the pulse of fashion, but even I can tell an Eddie Necktie clashes with those shoes. Although I’ll admit, it’s certainly an effective way to walk out onto the street and get everyone’s attention. – Mark Tweedale
“Paper Girls” #14: Nevertheless, she persisted. – Benjamin Birdie
“Empwered and the Soldier of Love” #3: Esta chica mágica no está jugando. – Jake Hill
“Batman” #22: Say what you will about “Flashpoint” and this button arc, seeing father and son ready their cowls is still a damn good moment. – Robbie Pleasant
“Extremity” #3 : Daniel Warren Johnson continues to draw some of the dopest action scenes. – Leo Johnson
All-New Guardians of the Galaxy #1: Nothing against any previous creators, but this has to be the most fun Guardians has been in years. They carry out heists in a fake Galactus, you guys. – Matt Lune
The Dregs #3: An issue where color, script, panel structure and detailed artistic flair come together so effortlessly to drive the noir-mystery narrative forward. This book is always a pleasure to read – Matt Lune
Helena Crash #3: So stylish (Helena!) So deadly (Crash!) – sorry, just coming up with my own theme tune for this awesome book – Matt Lune
