Hello, and welcome to Saturday Morning Panels, your new favorite Multiversity column! It’s a very simple concept: since none of us are up to watching Saturday morning cartoons anymore, we are instead going to share with you our favorite panels from the week before. It’s a bit like Comics Should Be Cheap, except with more pictures and less reading.
And, of course, spoilers are probably abundant.
We encourage you to play along at home and let us know what your favorite moments of the week were in the comment section! In the meantime, our picks:

“Abe Sapien” #14: Count the references to prior stories. Count them. ― Mark Tweedale

“Amazing Spider-Man” #1.3: When Ramon Perez does his thing, he really does his thing, am I right? – Matthew Meylikhov

“Avengers” #32: There were a lot of great pay-offs in this week’s issue of “Avengers,” but this was by far the best moment of the issue. I believe my immediate reaction was “Awwww, yes!” – Matthew Meylikhov

“Ghosted” #11: Now that’s what I call pay-off. – Matthew Meylikhov

“Justice League United” #3: “Of Martian Manhunter, I can only say this: of all the souls I have encountered in The New 52, his was the most…human.” – Vince Ostrowski

“Justice League United” #3: It took almost 3 years post-relaunch, but Hawkman finally did something unquestionably awesome. – Vince Ostrowski

“New Suicide Squad” #1: A probably unintentional satire of what I imagine DC Entertainment executives think about their properties. – Vince Ostrowski

“Original Sin” #5.1 – “Thor & Loki: The Tenth Realm” #1: No matter the context, “I AM THE CRIME THAT WILL NOT BE FORGIVEN” is the funniest thing in the world to me. Marvel should make this a shirt. I already did make this a shirt:

– James Johnston

“Shutter” #4: You know things aren’t going well when you have to get the elephant gun over, y’know, any other available easier to use gun you may have. – Matthew Meylikhov

“Spider-Man 2099” #1: I hate it when that happens. – Vince Ostrowski

“Spread” #1: You know, about two years ago Justin Jordan and I hung out for the day with Tradd Moore. We went to the movies, we went to the book store, we went out to eat — the whole shebang. And during that day, we talked about “Sandman” and how, out of all the things in it, the Corinthian and his eye-teeth freaked me out. And now look, here we are: “Spread” and fucking eye-teeth, god DAMMIT, Justin! – Matthew Meylikhov

“Superior Foes of Spider-Man” #13: You really need to get those wings in check, Abner. – Matthew Meylikhov
