Hello, and welcome to Saturday Morning Panels! It’s a very simple concept: since none of us are up to watching Saturday morning cartoons anymore, we are instead going to share with you our favorite panels from the week before. It’s a bit like Comics Should Be Cheap, except with more pictures and less reading.
And, of course, SPOILERS are probably abundant.
We encourage you to play along at home and let us know what your favorite moments of the week were in the comment section! In the meantime, our picks:
“Batman” #43: Where does he GET those wonderful toys? – Keith Dooley
“Batman” #43: Choose your own Batman. – Matt Garcia
“Batman” #43: But…but…the Penguin can’t die! – Keith Dooley
“Catwoman” #43: Brand new Batman, same classic moves. – Matt Garcia
“Action Comics” #43: Despite diminished powers, Clark is looking good. – Keith Dooley
“Justice League United” #12: Artist Travel Foreman and colorist Jeremy Cox are masters of their trade. – Keith Dooley
“Constantine: The Hellblazer” #3: Oh, John. Such a cheeky little devil. – Keith Dooley
“All-Star Section Eight” #3: M.M. sure has quite a mouth on him. – Keith Dooley
“All-Star Section Eight” #3: We can only imagine what unspeakable things entered the eyes of J’onn J’onnz. – Keith Dooley
“DC Comics Bombshells” #1: This is the kind of junk superhero comics are made for. – Matt Garcia
“Phonogram: The Immaterial Girl” #1: Brings new meaning to “Take Me On,” donnit? – Matt Garcia
“Shutter” #14: “Shutter” goes manga for pretty much no reason other than Keatinge and del Duca wanted to do it. And it’s a thumbs up. – Matt Garcia
“Kaijumax” #5: “Kaijumax #5” brought like five plot threads to a climax and did it all with Godzillas and Ultramen. It’s the most surprising comic I’ve read all year. – Leo Johnson
