“King in Black” #3: This panel would be a lot easier to take seriously if a) they hadn’t spent the last few years, let along issues, shilling Knull to ridiculous degrees and b) Thor had spent a reasonable amount of time acting as an actual king under Cates’s pen. As it is, we’re just left waiting for the curbstomp, on top of feeling like Thor and Knull have roughly equal claims to the title of “King” given their propensity to rule instead of conquer or avenge.
