Welcome to the Rundown! Until our regularly scheduled rundowner, David Harper, gets back from getting hitched (ooooooooooooooooooh), I’ll be your guide to all things newsworthy that slipped through our reporting cracks. Email any pertinent articles to brian@multiversitycomics.com

It is beginning to look more and more like John Romita, Jr. will actually be writing and drawing Superman for DC. Let’s hope this is the overdue exit of Scott Lobdell from the titular Supes book.

Henry Polic II, character actor extraordinaire and voice of the Scarecrow on Batman: The Animated Series, has died at age 68 from cancer.

Are you looking for a vibrator that is a little more, oh I don’t know, mighty? Well, you’re in luck! A new line of Avengers-themed dildos are ready to battle your…oh, you know what I mean.

What sort of “weird” Marvel/Disney project will be revealed in September?

Is Vin Diesel going to play Groot? On one hand, I hope so, so people can stop talking about Vin Diesel again. On the other hand, I don’t think he’s a great choice. He was great in The Iron Giant, but I just don’t feel him as Groot. Sorry, Vin!

Going to NYCC? If so, get ready for this sweet JL8 exclusive from Yale Stewart!

Got some money to burn? Love Bryan Hitch’s artwork? Hitch is selling off lots of his “Age of Ultron” pencils, so take a look.

Finally, it would seem that the reports of his project have been greatly exaggerated, as Joe Hill tweeted yesterday that he’d be working on something for DC — not Marvel like we’d previously assumed/deduced. Oops! Or, he’s working on something for both, in which case there will inevitably be double egg on our faces — but for now, lets just say DC.
