Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– Remember when we mentioned that Jonah Hex is going to have a live adaptation that doesn’t feature a rally confused Josh Brolin? Deadline is reporting that the scarred cowboy will be played by Jonathan Schaech, from the 1996 hit musical film, That Thing You Do. I don’t know anything about that movie but my editor Brian tweeted about how into it he was so it’s the top headline.
– Marvel’s going to have some (more changes) after it undergoes a really important crossover (again) in this spring’s “Avengers: Standoff.” One of the consequences of that story, as you can see at Comic Book Resources, is maybe? a new Thunderbolts team. The teaser is one of those typical covers where half the cast is covered in shadows and the only visible team member is that creepy floating girl from Fear 2 or whatever.
– Still not over David Bowie’s death? Honest Trailers did a Labryinth tribute reminding us how cool Bowie always looked, even when he was dressed as an 80’s glam rock star crossed with an evil old man.
– Excited for the new Deadpool movie? Movies executives seem to be. Ryan Reynolds told the attendees of a recent fan event that there was discussion about an upcoming Deadpool & Cable movie. Plus, Fox looked into getting the rights to get Taskmaster into a sequel but that character’s rights went back to Marvel, which is a personal tragedy for me.
– Want to add laser guns to your personal armory? Luke Skywalker’s blaster is going to auction for a minimum of $300,000. That’s how much you have to pay for people to get really confused when you say you have one of Luke Skywalker’s weapons and then present them with something that’s not a laser sword.
