Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– Ryan Potter has been cast as Beast Boy in the forthcoming live-action series Titans. In their announcement, DC emphasized Potter’s martial arts background, and that the character’s back-story will be largely identical to his pre-“Flashpoint” version. Potter, 22, is known to audiences as the voice of Hiro Hamada in the film and TV versions of Big Hero 6, and this time last year campaigned to play Tim Drake opposite Ben Affleck. The show will be released on DC’s new streaming service next year.

– Ron Howard confirmed the Han Solo movie is simply titled Solo: A Star Wars Story. He also revealed Tag & Bink will be appearing in the film as Imperial officers. Tag & Bink were the protagonists of a Dark Horse comic series, written by Kevin Rubio and illustrated by Lucas Marangon, which was intended as the Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead of the Star Wars saga. Screenwriter Jon Kasdan and first assistant director Toby Hefferman will play the duo in the film, which is due out May 25, 2018.

– “Attack on Titan” continues to expand with the announcement Hiroshi Seko’s novel Lost Girls will be adapted into a three-part original video anime. The first and the second parts, which focus on Annie Leonhart, will be respectively released December 8, 2017, and April 9, 2018. The third part, which showcases Mikasa Ackerman, will be released August 9, 2018.

– We go from the biggest current hit in manga to a centuries old example of the form: Japanese paper The Mainichi reports “Hokusai’s Lost Manga” has been released in Japan. The book contains 178 drawings from a lost manga volume by Edo period artist Katsushika Hokusai that were found in the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. The first volume came out in 1814.

– A new trailer for Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 narrated by Cosmo the Space Dog has been released. With it also came the announcement that former “Avengers” scribe Kurt Busiek co-wrote the game, and that The Tick star Peter Serafinowicz was cast as main villain Kang the Conqueror. The game is out November 17.

– Speaking of Busiek, he revealed on Twitter that he once planned to reunite with “Marvels” artist Alex Ross on a “Superman/Star Wars” crossover. He explained that “the corporate parties involved [DC and Dark Horse] couldn’t agree on how to divvy up the money. That’s not exactly a rejection, but it is a dead project.”

– Canadian singer Gord Downie of the Tragically Hip died of cancer on Tuesday, aged just 53. Jeff Lemire, who collaborated with Downie on last year’s concept album and graphic novel “Secret Path,” paid tribute to him on his blog.

– comiXology announced in an e-mail last week that it will be closing its pull list site on March 30, 2018. The message states:

Dear comics fan,

We’re writing because you use pulllist.comixology.com.

We’re sorry to let you know that we’ll be shutting pulllist.comixology.com down on March 30th, 2018. We’re emailing you six months before this happens so that you can prepare for the transition. We’ll continue to update Previews information until we retire the Pull List. If your retailer has a Digital Storefront, that’s not going away.

If you use pulllist.comixology.com to manage your pull list with a retailer, please contact your retailer about how to manage your in-store pull list going forward. Keep in mind that your retailer was just informed of the services ending and may need a little time to figure out a new way to pull your in-store subscriptions.

We have enjoyed doing business with you and appreciate all your support over the years.

Sincerely,

comiXology team
