The 2021 Harvey Awards, honoring the year’s best comic books and associated media, were held at New York Comic Con last night. Trung Le Nguyen won both Book of the Year, and Best Children or Young Adult Book, for their fantasy graphic novel “The Magic Fish,” while Rachel Smythe’s Greek mythology webcomic “Lore Olympus” won Digital Book of the Year. WandaVision was named Best Adaptation, Tatsuki Fujimoto’s horror comedy “Chainsaw Man” won Best Manga, and Korean cartoonist Yeong-shin Ma won Best International Book for his slice-of-life book “Moms.”
As was announced earlier this week, Bernie Wrightson, William Kaluta, Barry Windsor-Smith, Rumiko Takahashi, and Jeffrey Catherine Jones were inducted into the Harvey Awards Hall of Fame.
