Kyle Baker, the man who calls himself “The Greatest Cartoonist of All Time” on his Twitter page, has released all of his creator-owned work for free on his website. Why should you care, besides the fact that he has – bar none – the greatest signature in comics?
This guy has won more Eisner’s than we have podcasts (all-time)! That’s saying something, because we enjoy our podcasting. These titles include his vaunted “Why I Hate Saturn,” a book that was originally published by DC imprint Piranha Press that ended up earning him the Eisner for Best Graphic Novel in 1990 and esteem from creators and critics inside and outside of the industry.. He’s a guy who many today (somehow) only know as the artist of Deadpool MAX, but he’s inarguably one of the most gifted writer/artists around.
And these books are free! You have no reason to not check these out. Who knows, you might find your new favorite comics from a talented guy who feels like sharing. It’s too good of an opportunity to pass up.
