Update: Oops. Apparently not free. It costs money. $2.99, to be exact.

The following has been edited as such to reflect that.

It was announced some time ago, and yes, Aaron didn’t really leave Wolverine. But, just go with it.

Launching today, a brand new 13-part weekly Infinite comic launches from Marvel entitled “Wolverine: Japan’s Most Wanted.” Clearly timed to launch in anticipation of the new film, the book brings Jason Aaron back to a solo “Wolverine” book alongside his collaborator for “Southern Bastards” Jason Latour as the two pen a tale illustrated by Paco Diaz finding Wolverine in Japan with wolves at all of the doors.

And it looks fantastic:

Look, I don’t mean to tell you how to do your business or anything, but with a book that has this kind of all-star creative team… well, the question becomes: why are you still reading this and not downloading it on your iPad? Honestly. I don’t even know why I’m still writing.

So I’ll stop. For the full press release from Marvel, please see below.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
