Sad Batman (Adam Scott) talks it out with Tom Haverford (Aziz Ansari)

If you’re not watching NBC’s “Parks and Recreation,” you’re missing one of the best shows and the best comedy on television. It’s a fantastic ensemble cast and an outrageously good time.

Take last night for example, when Tom Haverford (Aziz Ansari) and Donna (Retta) take Ben (Adam Scott) out for a day of relaxation (“Treat yo self!”), and the perplexed former duo ask their sad (and nerdy) friend what he would buy if he was going to treat himself.

Enter Batman, as Ben goes to Pawnee, Indiana’s local comic shop with Tom and Donna so he can buy a Batman suit he has longed after for a while. What follows in the episode (Ben tearfully revealing what is upsetting him as well as fixing a router for his two roommates while in costume) is pure genius, and shows us the anti-slimming effect of a Batman suit and what it would look like if he did every day things. It’s comic books meeting TV in truly hilarious fashion.
