There was a lot of talk going around about the super secret ending to “Age of Ultron” the other day, but I don’t think even the craziest crackpot theorist could have predicted this one.
Marvel has confirmed that the shocking twist end to “Age of Ultron” #10 is that it will feature the debut of Neil Gaiman’s character Angela in the Marvel Universe. Comic readers may remember Angela from “Spawn” #9, or, more famously, from the lengthy and much debated legal conflict between Gaiman and Spawn creator Todd McFarlane over who owned this much sought after intellectual property. Having won the dispute in 2012, it looks like Gaiman isn’t interested in merely letting this beloved character sit on the shelf, and is bringing her to the Marvel Universe — with a new Quesada-penned design — in the Gaiman and Bendis co-written epilogue to “Age of Ultron,” which will lead into July’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” #5.
Comics really are something else.
