Following the weekly “Uncanny X-Men” ‘Disassembled’ arc, Marvel is set to plunge the X-Men into an alternate reality, the ‘Age of X-Man.’ Similar to the 1995 event ‘Age of Apocalypse,’ where Nate Gray (X-Man) made his debut, this new status quo will launch six new limited series, all five issues long, set within this new world with a variety of creative teams. This event is set to begin on January 30th, 2019, with “Age of X-Man: Alpha,” written by Zac Thompson and Lonnie Nadler with art by Ramon Rosanas. Many of the writers above were writers on the recently wrapped “X-Men: Black” one-shots. In addition to these titles, “Uncanny X-Men” will continue in February, double-shipping with issues #11 and #12, written solely by Matthew Rosenberg and illustrated by Salvador Larroca. These issues seem to be following the soon-to-be resurrected Cyclops and Wolverine. “Uncanny X-Men: Winter’s End” written by Sina Grace and illustrated by Nate Stockman, will also be released in February and cap off Grace’s run with Bobby Drake.
The ‘Age of X-Man’ kicks off in January, and gets into full swing in February 2019. Look for more information next week when Marvel’s February 2019 solicitations are released.
