Over on Pop Culture Hound (but found at Bleeding Cool), Ales Kot — who must be having a great week with all the positive “Zero” press and the instant sell-out — announced two new books that will be coming in the future from Image in discussion with Chris Thompson, the host of the show (in between snorts of cocaine, of course).

The two new books are:

  • “Quiet”, in which Ales teams up with Morgan Jeske (his artistic collaborator on the phenomenal “Change”) for a story about a drug that causes people to lose the ability to deal with language
  • “Anti-Star”, about an Islamic transgender pop-star

Both will be graphic novellas a la “Wild Children” and both will probably be awesome. A third ongoing book for 2015 was also teased, but with no additional details.

Still, it looks like Kot’s career is going to be ramping up exponentially in the next few years, so when Stephenson named him as a potential for Next Big Thing he wasn’t kidding. (Not that he would kid about that, but, y’know.)

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
