Over on Ales Kot’s blog, he posted a tease for an upcoming book to be released in July of this year. Along with the picture was the following text:

“Our schools are, in a sense, factories, in which the raw products (children) are to be shaped and fashioned into products to meet the various demands of life. The specifications for manufacturing come from the demands of twentieth-century civilization, and it is the business of the school to build its pupils according to the specifications laid down.” — Ellwood P. Cubberley

Just a bit dark.

But what is this book called? Is it an ongoing or a mini? Who did that art? We can’t tell you that yet, unfortunately, but you’re welcome to guess (and who knows, that art might look somewhat familiar in style to you). Suffice it to say, just like pretty much everything else Image is releasing this year, we think you’re going to like it.

We’ll let you know more soon.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
