From earlier today on Twitter:

Ales Kot is a creator who has been consistently reinventing what we expect to see from him and his work since breaking out onto the scene a few years ago with the aforementioned “Wild Children. I’m very interested to see what else he could do along those lines, particularly with Christian Ward involved (who, if I’m not mistaken, Ales had already announced he was working with on “Anti-Star”? Or maybe I’m making that up, or just wishing on a(n anti) star).

As for “The Surface,” this was announced back at New York Comic Con 2012, and is pictured above. It has been some time since we’ve heard anything on the book, but Ales did post this panel teasing a 2014 release date, so be sure to look forward to that.

Of course, trilogies mean even more plans in the works — so look forward to plenty more from Ales throughout the year. Maybe even another set of announces come October?

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
