In what can only be described as an epic “lol jk” moment, Marvel’s January 2012 solicitations have confirmed that Alpha Flight, originally conceived and released as an 8 issue mini-series and then, with much fanfare, upgraded to ongoing series status, WOULD in fact be ending with its 8th issue after all. One could assume that a monumental drop in numbers for the book with this month’s fifth issue was the cause of this shift, but we won’t know that for sure for a little while yet.
If ever there was a time for one of those fancy, letter writing “save my favorite book!” campaigns, now would be the time. If Spider-Girl could do it, a bunch of spunky Canadians sure can!
