The film has not officially come out, so I’m going to throw a spoiler warning in effect right off the bat. But this is kind of interesting.
So, apparently Sony is trying to up the level of interaction between their products and smart phones, because we all know it’s OK to use your smart phone during a film. And as so happens, if you pull open your Shazam app during the end credits of Amazing Spider-Man 2, you will be treated with a clip that teases the upcoming Sinister Six spin-off film that has been highly teased. It doesn’t show much, simply showing off aspects of weaponry belonging to the famous villains, including Green Goblin, Rhino, Kraven, Mysterio, Doctor Octopus and the Vulture, all of whom are somewhat teased in the film (or so I’m told; I’ve not actually seen it).
Of course… what unlocks the video is the closing credits song, “It’s On Again” by Alicia Keys and Kendrick Lamar. And if you want to see the exclusive Sinister Six teaser, you can just watch it now by Shazaming the music video. Here, we’ll even provide the video:
There’s really nothing much to see here, but for those wondering if they would actually make a Sinister Six film, then the answer is: yes.
