Cartoonist turned writer Dan Panosian (“Thor,” “Slots”) and artist Marianna Ignazzi (“Mostri,” “Julia”) are collaborating on a new five-issue mini-series at BOOM! Studios. The supernatural mystery “An Unkindness of Ravens” follows a crew of aspiring teen witches, as they navigate the inner workings of their small town, and the secret power dynamics sitting below the surface.
The group of witches, dubbed the Ravens, make up the surviving bloodlines from the Salem Witch Trials, and chief among them is Wilma. Wilma is new to the area and is dragged into the Ravens after finding out she looks identical to the missing Raven Waverly.
“I fell in love with the story right away and I was honored to be given the chance to illustrate it,” said Ignazzi. “This story is filled with magic and I couldn’t help but be overwhelmed by its mysterious atmosphere. I cannot wait to bring these fantastic characters to life, and I’m very proud to be part of the ‘An Unkindness of Ravens’ team!”
