Marvel sure does love it’s themed variants as of lately! They’ve quite literally been going nuts with the output. Last month we saw a large amount of (mostly humorous) Deadpool variants, and now you’re going to get a large series of Iron Man variants in preparation for Iron Man 2 in May.

“We’re excited to show fans a whole new side of Iron Man” said David Gabriel, Senior Vice-President of Sales & Circulation. “Taking our inspiration from some of the most exciting eras, art styles, inventions – you name it!-in hiistory, the IRON MAN BY DESIGN variant covers are just the beginning of the exciting Iron Man product hitting stores throughout the year!”

The new additions to the variant line are certainly quite bad-ass, featuring Iron Man in numerous situations that exemplify his power. You gotta love Spartan Iron Man! THIS! IS! STAMFORD! (Too soon?)

For the majority of the Iron Man variants (titled “Iron Man By Design”), check them out right here. They’re very cool and very snazzy, and I imagine a view of them will appear in Burpee’s Got You Covered.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
