Archie Comics ALSO Kicks the Code

Hot on the heels of DC’s similar announcement, industry mainstay Archie Comics has also announced that it will no longer seek the approval of the Comics Code Authority on its creative output. That makes two very big hits to the Code this week, leaving this reporter to wonder “if the most clean-cut, rule following comic company on the face of the Earth flips you off, are you officially irrelevant?” Stay tuned to Multiversity for more information as it develops (I suspect a full dismantling of the CCA will be coming in the very near future.)
