Courtesy of publisher Papercutz, we are pleased to reveal that “Asterix Omnibus” Vol. 12 will be released on May 21, 2024. The upcoming book, which features a new American English translation of the classic French comic, will collect the 50th anniversary special “Asterix and Obelix’s Birthday” (2009), which marked co-creator Albert Uderzo’s swan song, plus the start of Jean-Yves Ferri and Didier Conrad’s run in “Asterix and the Picts” (2013), and “The Missing Scroll” (2015). Check out the hardback and paperback covers, as well as the official synopsis below:

In “Asterix and Obelix’s Birthday,” the creators celebrate the series’ 50 year anniversary with a collection of tall tales and taller travel trails for the one and only Asterix, who deserves a great big birthday treat. Then in “Asterix and the Picts,” Asterix and friends travel to Scotland, where they meet the “painted men,” also known as the Picts, and they learn that these men do more than paint. Finally in “Asterix and the Missing Scroll,” Julius Caesar is raging over a missing scroll that may or may not be Caesar’s own Comments on the Gallic War. Will all these exciting adventures affect our humble Gaulish friends?

“Asterix Omnibus” Vol. 12 will retail at 152 pages in hardcover for $22.99, and paperback for $14.99. It is available to pre-order now from Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and Bookshop. In the meantime, “Asterix Omnibus” Vol. 11, collecting “Asterix and the Actress,” “The Class Act,” and “The Falling Sky,” will be released on February 20, while “Asterix Omnibus” Vol. 10 and the latest standalone volume, Jean-Yves Ferri & Didier Conrad’s “Asterix and the White Iris,” are available now.
