While searching through the intrawabs, I found a charming little post from Brian Clevinger, writer of MC personal favorite, Atomic Robo. This series, which is split into connected volumes, has run for 3 full volumes as well as 2 free comic book day releases, all of which have been absolutely adored by us here at the MC Offices. And in my intrawab searches, I found that Mr. Clevinger has actually announced the titles of the next Atomic Robo volumes, straight through number 11! Check behind the cut for all the hilarious insights into the future of Robo.

Here’s what we’re currently brewing up for you guys.

Atomic Robo and Other Strangeness was changed to Atomic Robo and the Revenge of the Vampire Dimension due to a miscommunication that was 100% my fault. Oops! This is Vol 4, which comes out in February! It’s four very loosely connected one-shots. It’s got vampires, Jenkins, Science Team Super Five (renamed to avoid confusion with Super Go), the rest of the Dr. Dinosaur story, and a super secret nemesis (dun dun dun)!

Atomic Robo and the Ghost of Station X — This is Volume 5. I’ve been plotting it out for the last couple days. It takes place in 2010; it’s our first traditional completely linear storyline; it may be our first six-issue series since Vol 1. I don’t want to give anything away, but it’s basically Robo vs. The World. Gasp!

Atomic Robo and The Flying She-Devils of the Pacific — Currently planned to be Volume 6. Post-WWII air-piracy with a load of weird Jet Age tech.

Atomic Robo in Diamonds Are For Never — This is a ’70s science heist adventure. Think Jackie Brown crossed with Wargames. Working title.

Atomic Robo and the Soldiers of Fortune — Big ’80s action. Our version of a mega event crossover. Working title.

Atomic Robo Under an Iron Sky has been changed to Atomic Robo and the Spear of Destiny — The return of an old foe with a new weapon and an old friend who is a new friend and also a foe (whew). Think mid-’60s, Cold War big science weapon espionage. Somewhat like if the Cuban Missile Crisis happened in a world with lightning guns.

Atomic Robo and the Deadly Art of Science — No story idea to go with this one, but Scott’s in love with it so we’ve got to come up with something to hang it on!

Atomic Robo and the Savage Sword of Dr. Dinosaur or Atomic Robo and the Land That Time Remembered or Atomic Robo and the Lost City of Dinopolis or something else — A whole series dedicated to one or more of Dr. Dinosaur’s schemes to destroy all humanity and Atomic Robo’s efforts to stop him. Working title.

This takes us through Volume 11. Depending on our output, that’s another four to five years of Atomic Robo comics.

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
