During the Licensing Expo 2011 convention in Las Vegas, someone took a photo of the attached image which acts as the prelude of Marvel’s upcoming advertising campaign for their Avengers film. We’ve got Cap, Thor, and Iron Man, but in addition to that you have Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye (which looks very much like this Hawkeye) and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk (which basically looks like Norton’s Hulk), with Scarlet Johannson Black Widow-ing it up in the corner.
While I suppose the image is technically maybe a “spoiler” in a way, it is very cool to see what Hawkeye is going to look like in the upcoming film, as well as to have some kind of confirmation of a team. The Black Widow being an official member is new, and I suppose she replaces The Wasp in the “classic” Avengers story of how they came to be. It’s also possibly fair to assume that the oft rumored plot that the Avengers will fight the Hulk is still quite on, despite all the other various rumors you’re sure to hear.
Oh, and Loki will show up somewhere. But not quite yet.
