That’s right. Everyone’s favorite axe wielding cop/superhero/vigilante, Axe Cop, is one of the first new series greenlit by Fox for their upcoming Animation Domination HD block. While it has no voices cast or even a showrunner, the wildly popular web/print comic has been acquired by Fox for the purpose of producing six 15 minute animated episodes of the comic to help headline their Saturday night animation block.
Given that they also air shows like Family Guy and American Dad, it seems unlikely that the level of batshit crazy that “Axe Cop” is known for will need to be toned down. For that, we’re thankful, and we’re looking forward to seeing more about this. It better happen though, or we’ll have to talk to a guy who we know is enthusiastic about chopping heads.
