It just goes to show you – you support a mini hard enough, you’ll get an ongoing! You’ve seen it with Secret Six, and now you get Batman Beyond: the ongoing! As announced at Baltimore Comic-Con, Batman Beyond is getting it’s own ongoing after the Hush Beyond arc ends, which is pretty exciting news all around.
I will admit – I was a huge fan of Batman Beyond as a kid, but I did not have any real faith in the mini. Boy, was I wrong. Those who have seen our reviews here on MC know that we have actually been enjoying the mini quite a bit. Adam Beechen has done a great job hitting all the right notes for the book, and it’s a fitting tribute to the show. If you keep him and Ryan Benjamin on the ongoing, I’ll buy it.
Either way, congrats to the team! While we don’t know what the future holds for this book, I can only hope for the best.
