Batman Beyond To Come Back In 2012

In something that completely went under our radar, it looks like Batman Beyond writer Adam Beechen teased the return of Batman Beyond, at the date of “soon.”

As the latest issue of Batman Beyond wrapped up, the text at the bottom of the issue read “Batman Beyond Will Return In ‘10,000 Clowns’, Coming Soon From DC! Batman Beyond seemed like one of the more odd titles to get cut in the massive line wipe seeing as it is not connected strictly to DC continuity (only by very loose threads), and many fans were disappointed that the ongoing series that had just defeated the dreaded “mini trial” was so quickly being cut. However, just like other Batman books (Inc, Odyssey), it looks like Beyond will get a stay of execution kinda-sorta.

Thanks to the magic of Google, we were also able to spy DC’s the Source confirming that the book is set for a 2012 relaunch with a brand new #1, although it isn’t said if this will be a new ongoing or anothe rmini.

Truthfully, if we weren’t working on a round-up of all the DC finales for next week, we probably wouldn’t have noticed.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
