DC Comics have announced “Batman: Killing Time,” a new six-issue series from writer Tom King with artists David Marquez & Alejandro Sánchez, as well as “Beyond the White Knight,” the newest eight-issue installment of writer/artist Sean Murphy’s ‘White Knight’ universe, colored by Dave Stewart. Both books will debut in March 2022.
“Killing Time” will revisit an episode from the Dark Knight’s early career, when Catwoman, the Riddler, and Penguin planned a heist to steal a “mysterious and priceless artifact in the secret possession of Bruce Wayne” himself. (The main cover for the first issue also shows Killer Croc will make an appearance.) You can check out the full synopsis, unlettered artwork, and variant covers at CBR.

“Beyond the White Knight” adapts the animated series Batman Beyond into Murphy’s continuity, and is set ten years after Bruce Wayne went to prison. When Terry McGinnis steals the Beyond suit on behalf of Gotham Motors CEO Derek Powers (his nemesis in the original cartoon), Bruce escapes from prison and enlists Jason Todd to destroy his tainted legacy once and for all. “Batman: Killing Time” #1 releases March 1, a few days before The Batman movie featuring the same characters and setting releases; it will retail at 40 pages for $4.99. “Beyond the White Knight” #1 releases at the end of the month on March 29, and being a Black Label title (a larget format series aimed at readers aged 17 and above), it will retail for 32 pages at $4.99.
