DC Comics have released their solicits for November and early December, which includes the reveal of “Batman – Santa Claus: Silent Knight,” a four-issue series by writer Jeff Parker and artist Michele Bandini. Starting December 5, the miniseries will see a swole Saint Nick — designed by cover artist Dan Mora (“Klaus”) — team up with his “former student,” Bruce Wayne, and several other superheroes to solve a violent crime in Gotham before Christmas. This “brutal, two-fisted holiday tale of hope, wonder, and monster hunting is the perfect treat to ring in the holidays — it’s Claus in canon!”

The company also announced “‘Twas the ‘Mite Before Christmas,” an 80-page special featuring eight stories, “from Constantine and Lex Luthor’s Dickensian tale, to Batwoman’s puzzling Hanukkah hijinks,” and “your classic cocoa-swilling Christmas romance switch with Harley and Amethyst.” Writers will consist of Gotham Knights co-creator Natalie Abrams, Michael W. Conrad, Josh Trujillo, Ethan Sacks, Zipporah Smith, Rob Levin, Sholly Fisch, and editor Jillian Grant, while confirmed artists include Gavin Guidry, Soo Lee, and Juan Bobillo. It will retail for $9.99 on December 12.

The two titles will likely coincide with the upcoming Amazon Prime Video special Merry Little Batman. The younger-skewing cartoon, and the series it leads into, Bat-Family, was delayed from last year after Warner Bros. Discovery decided to sell it, instead of releasing it on its originally intended platform HBO Max.

Furthermore, DC revealed “Batman ’89: Echoes” and “Superman ’78: The Metal Curtain.” Sam Hamm and Joe Quinones will reunite for the sequel to the first “Batman ’89” comic, which will find Michael Keaton’s Batman missing as a female Joker emerges. “Metal Curtain,” on the other hand, will be penned again by Robert Venditti, but see Gavin Guidry take over from artist Wilfredo Torres, and pit Christopher Reeve’s hero against a Soviet version of Metallo.
