DC Comics have announced “Batman: Urban Legends,” a new anthology title featuring multiple stories in each issue. Launching in March, the prestige format series will contain the following stories:

– A six-part Batman/Red Hood story from writer Chip Zdarsky and artist Eddy Barrows, which sees Jason Todd investigating a lethal new drug being distributed in Gotham. “In the course of one night, this investigation will change his life forever – and put him in Batman’s crosshairs.” Zdarsky, who had an exclusive contract with Marvel until recently, has also contributed to “Detective Comics” #1027, and “Dark Nights: Death Metal Guidebook” #1.

– A Grifter story by “Future State: Grifters” writer Matthew Rosenberg, and artist Ryan Benjamin. It will follow the WildStorm vigilante (real name Cole Cash), as he investigates the Halo Corporation, and once again comes into conflict with Batman.

– A Harley Quinn story by writer Stephanie Phillips, and “Future State: The Next Batman” artist Laura Braga, that will lead into Phillips and Riley Rossmo’s upcoming relaunch of the character’s solo title. The comic will see Harley searching for Poison Ivy.

– A three-part Outsiders story, from “Future State: Outsiders” writer Brandon Thomas, with art by Max Dunbar. It will feature Black Lightning, Katana and Metamorpho being confronted by a figure from Katana’s past.

The comic will run while another Batman anthology, the recently relaunched “Batman: Black and White,” winds down. “Batman: Urban Legends” #1 will be released on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, and it will retail for $7.99. As well as the main cover by Hicham Habchi, it will be available with variants by David Finch and Kael Ngu.
