DC Comics have announced “Batman: White Knight Presents: Red Hood,” a two-part miniseries written by Sean Murphy and Clay McCormack (“Bloody Hel”), with art by Simone Di Meo (“Future State: Harley Quinn”), and colors by Dave Stewart. Spinning out of Murphy’s Batman Beyond reimagining “Beyond The White Knight,” the book will see Jason Todd trying to put aside his differences with Dick Grayson, in order to save Bruce Wayne and defeat Derek Powers.

The book will also introduce a new Robin training under Jason, namely “Gan, a girl from East Backport who needs his help to save her neighborhood from a super-criminal terrorizing its citizens.” The first issue of “Batman: White Knight Presents: Red Hood” will be released on July 26, with a cover by Murphy, and variants by Di Meo and Olivier Coipel. It will retail at 32 pages for $4.99.

Additionally, DC announced a six-issue “DC vs. Vampires” spin-off, “DC vs. Vampires: All-Out War.” Penned by main series co-writer Matthew Rosenberg with Alex Paknadel, the book will see John Constantine, Booster Gold, Deathstroke, Mary Marvel, Bane, Deadman, and Azrael embark on a desperate mission to assassinate a key lieutenant in the vampire empire. It will feature black-and-white art by Pasquale Qualano (“DC Comics Bombshells”), and a back-up story written and illustrated by Guillaume Singelin (“PTSD”). Issue #1 goes on sale on July 19.

Finally, the publisher revealed Nicole Maines’s Supergirl character Nia Nal (Dreamer) will make her DC Universe debut in July’s “Superman: Son of Kal-El” #13. Written by Tom Taylor with Maines, and drawn by Clayton Henry, the comic will see the precognitive heroine warn Jon Kent about a threat from Henry Bendix to every hero on Earth. It will be released on July 12; in the meantime, you can read a brief interview with Taylor and Maines about canonizing the trans heroine at Out magazine.
