The cast of “Batman/Superman” (or whatever it is officially going to be called) continues to grow, as actor Ray Fisher has been signed to play Vic Stone/Cyborg in the film. While it’s cool that they brought Cyborg in, I have to wonder if they’re a) going to end up naming this “Justice League”, b) end up making this movie three hours long or c) give every character roughly 42 seconds of screen time. Besides much of the cast of “Man of Steel” returning, you also have the additions of Batman, Alfred, Lex Luthor, Wonder Woman and now Cyborg, as well as Holly Hunter and Callan Mulvey in as yet unidentified roles.
This is a situation where we might be getting to the point of having too much of a good thing, especially when we keep hearing about the similarly large “X-Men: Days of Future Past” having to cut characters out after their parts were already filmed.
Set to arrive May 6, 2016, I imagine this isn’t the last casting update we run, but here’s hoping they dial back the big names a little bit and give this movie some space to breathe.
