I saw this a little while ago but I didn’t make note of it because, while I thought it was silly, I didn’t see it as particularly “news worthy” due to where I saw it. But when Dark Horse tweets about it, then I would definitely consider it news worthy!
So what makes a super hero awesome? Is it his or her ability? No. Is it his or her’s list of accomplishments? Nope. So what is it? My friends, what makes a super hero awesome, or anyone in general awesome, is a killer beard. Deviant Artist Vanjamrgan has sketched a series featuring popular icons, including Dark Horses’ Hellboy, with master beards. Although only four of the characters have actually appeared in comic books, I’ve still posted all of them behind the cut for your enjoyment.
All I can say is: Batman with a beard. Please. Morrison, get on it!
