Update #1: Looks like the trailer is down. We’ll replace it as soon as we can.

Update #2: And we’re back! Go! Watch! Revel!

Update #3: And we’re gone again. It was cool while it lasted.

Remember that li’l movie called Pacific Rim? You know the one, giant robots vs. giant aliens. It was pretty badass. Well, it has a new contender for being the giant monster film of this decade because the King Of Monsters is back! Coming next year from Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros., we have finally have our first look at the new Godzilla film. And epic is the only word to truly describe it.

Set to the haunting words of Robert Oppenheimer after seeing the destruction of the atomic bomb, we see the destruction left in the wake of Godzilla. It’s a simple teaser, but boy is it effective. Especially that roar. This is the Godzilla film I’ve been waiting for.

Directed by Gareth Edwards, of Monsters fame, and with a cast that includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and Heisenberg himself, Bryan Cranston, this looks to be a hell of a film. What do you think?

Alice W. Castle

Sworn to protect a world that hates and fears her, Alice W. Castle is a trans femme writing about comics. All things considered, it’s going surprisingly well. Ask her about the unproduced Superman films of 1990 - 2006. She can be found on various corners of the internet, but most frequently on Twitter: @alicewcastle
