As part of YouTube’s Geek Week, Cartoon Hangover (Frederator’s home for Bravest Warriors by Pendleton Ward) has debuted Natasha Allegri’s brand new online webtoon Bee and Puppycat, and holy beans you need to watch it right now.
If any of the first bit sounds strinkingly familiar, it’s because it should. Natasha Allegri is a writer and storyboard artist for Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time and is notably the creator of Fionna and Cake, the genderswapped iterations of the characters. She even recentlly wrote and illustrated a “Fionna and Cake” mini-series for BOOM! Studios which was quite delightful. Bee and Puppycat is her own creation, a ten minute short that is hopefully the first of memory detailing the adventures of poor young Bee (voiced by Allyn Rachel), fired from her job before finding a strange possible-cat possibly-puppy named Puppycat and traveling into Fishbowl Space.
Yes, it is about as surreal as it sounds. Yes, it is as wildly entertaining as it sounds.

Bee, a reluctant hero, becomes entangled in the adventures of a puppy (…or is he a cat?) as they travel between reality and the void of Fishbowl Space.
