BOOM! Studios have added to added to their Ben 10 line up with a second original graphic novel, “Ben 10: For Science!” This adds to the already scheduled release of “Ben 10: The Truth is Out There,” which was revealed at San Diego Comic Con, when BOOM! Studios announced it had acquired the rights to Cartoon Network’s Ben 10.
“For Science!” will be written by C.B. Lee (“Not Your Sidekick”), and illustrated by Mattia Di Meo (“Adventure Time”). The novel will feature Ben and Gwen going undercover as campers to find a mysterious attacker. To find the attacker they must follow a trail of failed science experiments. Lee further described the second OGN as about Ben and Gwen “making new friends and learning the wonders of space, robotics and more.”
BOOM! Studios editor Cameron Chittock commented on the creative team, stating “C.B. Lee and Mattia Di Meo bring vibrant energy and heart to every page, worthy of this incredible series.” Di Meo stated, “Ben and his family are such strong characters, so it’s a treat to bring them to life, along with robots and aliens.”
”Ben 10: For Science!” will be released in July 2019, after the release of “Ben 10: The Truth is Out There” (also written by C.B. Lee) in March 2019.
