Bendis and Bachalo Get “Uncanny” in a New 2013 Marvel NOW! Release

Let’s not even pretend for a second this isn’t “Uncanny X-Men” being relaunched. Just tweeted by Brian Michael Bendis, this new series will come from Bendis with art from Chris Bachalo (assuredly with a partner in the mix to trade off with). We knew that Uncanny HAD to be coming eventually, and we had suspicion that Bendis would be in charge of the X-Books going forward. This just further confirms it.

Additionally, with that illuminated red light behind the logo pointing in the direction of a Cyclops led title, you can’t help but note that in this week’s “AvX Consequences” #4,  (spoilers) Cyclops is planning a prison break with the help of Danger, Magneto and Magik. Sounds like a familiar line-up, doesn’t it? A book about an escaped Cyclops on the run with a team of villains sounds like an interesting premise indeed.

Will we buy it? Resident X-Fan Brandon Burpee will be ecstatic, but before we know more, right now Bachalo is the key selling point at least for me. What do you all think of this new Marvel NOW! title?
