Ok, so we’re assuming a bit with the title, but we’re probably not far off.

Yesterday’s new Point One teaser from Marvel featured Loeb and McGuinness on what is ostensibly some kind of Nova reboot (despite the character’s death in Thanos Imperative), and today’s teaser gives us the promised Brian Bendis and Bryan Hitch team-up for the upcoming Ultron War story in the Avengers.

The story was originally teased in The Avengers #12.1, in which the Avengers accidentally set the Ultron War in motion (first seen in the first arc of the new adjectiveless Avengers arc) while searching for the body of a fallen Space Knight against the Intelligencia.

Now, amidst all the upcoming “Everyone Vs. The Avengers” stories that Bendis is planning to launch post-Fear Itself (with the Revengers and the return of HAMMER), it looks like Bendis and Hitch are teaming up to tease us about the upcoming Ultron War in Point One. What exactly will come out of this one-shot issue is yet to be determined, but it is assumedly worth investing in for anyone following the ongoing saga of the Avengers in the Marvel U.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
