Former Creators to Watch posterboy and Artist August featured creator Benjamin Dewey is a personal fave, crafting his Tumblr comic “Tragedy Series” much to the entertainment and ultimately mixed emotions of many for the past couple years, has some big news for his followers: “Tragedy Series” is getting a print edition!
Set to be published in March of 2015 by Thomas Dunne Books , this will be the complete “Tragedy Series” with some extra goodies, or as Dewey shared in the post:
In the intervening year, as preparations are underway, I will be augmenting the content to include some new varieties of illustration and helpful tableaus to quicken the pulse and sharpen the mind. Worry not, my standards of quality will remain unremittingly steadfast in dedication to the preservation of your easy passage on the sea of destiny.
What a classy gentleman.
It’s part of what is certain to be a big year or so for Dewey, who also has projects percolating with Lori Matsumoto at Thrillbent and Kurt Busiek at Image. Congrats to Dewey on the deal, and emotionally prepare yourself as a big book of tragedy is coming your way.
