Today at DC Comics’ The Source blog, it was announced by new Editor-in-Chief Bob Harras that a few of his primary lieutenants were getting promotions.

Up first is Eddie Berganza, an occasional writer and far more frequent editor for DC Comics. He’ll be leaving his comfortable home as a Group Editor for DC to become the new Executive Editor of the DC Universe line.

At the same time, his partner-in-crime (and personal favorite of ours) Ian Sattler is being elevated from his current position as Senior Story Editor for DC to the new role of Director —Editorial, Special Projects & Archival Editions.

What exactly this means for the two of them isn’t exactly certain, as Berganza’s job sounds like he’ll be the umbrella editor for the DCU line (but he will have new Superman Group Editor Matt Idelson and Batman Group Editor Mike Marts reporting to him), while Sattler will be focusing more on major projects.
