Among the Multiversity staff, this was exactly what we were hoping for: the return of Beta Ray Bill!
In the pages of “Nova” #13.NOW (gotta love that numbering, eh?), everyone’s favorite alien hammer-bearer is being brought into the pages of Marvel NOW! from Gerry Duggan and Paco Medina. Check out the cover below.
While it is admitedly weird to have a #1 in the upper right hand corner, despite the issue being clearly numbered #13 in the bottom right hand corner, we get the idea: this is a great jumping on points for fans of Nova, Beta Ray Bill, or good comics in general.
Newsarama has an interview with Duggan, where he talks about the character’s return. This passage, in particular, is great:
Duggan: Remember, Bill is a fearsome sight. Comics readers sometimes forget how alien his appearance is; if you dropped him down in the middle of a town, say Carefree, Arizona, he would cause a bit of a panic. He looks like a zombie Thor that comes from the backwaters of space.
