Blackest Night #8 Cover Revealed

I think by now you all know: Sinestro is the White Lantern. If not, I apologize, but never the less: the cover of Blackest Night #8 has been revealed! While it’s not colored yet, it’s pretty gosh darn epic.

I think it makes for a wonderful tie-up of a lot of the themes in Blackest Night as the various lantern corps burst through a skull. I don’t know about you guys, but the first thing I thought of was the cover to Blackest Night #1, which featured a skull with Black Lantern rings coming out. To see the same skull now broken as Sinestro finally takes the center stage from Hal is a pretty great way to round up all of the things that have slowly been building from Rebirth through Sinestro Corps War and Secret Origin to now.

However, if I had one complaint? Not enough Dex-Starr.

Blackest Night #8 goes on sale March 31, 2010 for $3.99 and is a double-size issue. Better start preparing for it now.

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
